Work includes providing all required material, labor and equipment to perform selective demolition and associated reconstruction of project improvements at the Field Maintenance Shop (FMS #5), Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The scope of work includes the complete renovation of two offices, conversion of the existing latrine to a washroom, renovation of the existing break room and upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems serving those spaces. Specific work items include cutting and removing exterior wall areas to allow installation of new blast resistant aluminum windows and vents; cutting and removal of existing bar joist, metal decking and concrete fill to install new stair tower; and removal of existing upper interior partition walls to allow installation of new metal stud and gypsum wall assemblies with metal cladding. Finishes will include new gypsum panels, painted concrete masonry units, sealed and polished concrete floors and pre-formed metal wall panels.
Mechanical and electrical improvements include removal of existing plumbing and installation of new plumbing supply, waste and vent systems, relocation of existing RPV assembly and installation of new plumbing fixtures. Mechanical improvements include the complete removal of the existing gas fired split system and installation of a new ductless HVAC system, installation of a new heat recovery makeup air system and associated ducting and condensation piping. Electrical improvements include installation of new service bay lighting; light sensors, light fixtures and receptacles in the upgraded areas, and installation of emergency generator transfer switch.
