Construction of a new 22,800 SF Dairy Housing Research and Teaching Facility. The facility consist of two clay floor animal holding pack areas separated by cow feed bunk lanes and a middle feeding drive lane. The structure is to be structural steel columns and beams with light gage purlins and girts to support the exposed fastened metal roofing.
The site is greenfield. Minor grading will be required with adequate site available material.
Water is available nearby the site. The project will connect to an existing meter vault and run to a water room where a backflow preventer is located as well as a manifold to supply lines for future watering stations. Drain lines are connected to an existing waste drainage system. Sanitary sewer work is not required in this project.
Electric service is available from a nearby pole on site. This project will run empty conduit to a meter (where KU will run conductor in the conduit from the pole). This project includes a main disconnect, 200 AMP breaker panel and supply for receptacles and Owner provided, contractor installed lights and fans. Provisions for future communications is provided, but the communication work is not include in this contract.
This project moves four cow brushes from nearby barns as well as installs an automatic feed system for 16 cows in the southeastern pack.

Fire Station #5 restroom renovation includes the demolition of the existing restroom with shower and renovation construction for two restrooms with showers on the second floor of the historic fire station. The existing construction is wood framed floors and interior walls. The exterior walls are brick masonry. The existing restroom plumbing, elect5rical, HVAC and all finishes will be removed. Louisville Water Company is requesting bids to remove the existing 480 volt system at the Crescent Hill Pump Station and Chemical Building, install a new 480 Volt Distribution System including miscellaneous/appurtenant items and structural, architectural, and HVAC work. Removal of 150 cubic feet of soda ash from Storage Silo No. 7. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals and performing all work required to construct complete in place and ready to operate the 480 volt distribution systems in the existing Chemical Building and in the Crescent Hill Pump Station. This includes the demolition and legal off-site disposal of the existing 480 volt distribution systems in the Crescent Hill Pump Station and Chemical Building including transformers, switchgear, motor control center and other miscellaneous and appurtenant items, installation of new 480 volt distribution systems including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, instrumentation/controls, wire, conduit, miscellaneous and appurtenant electrical items. This work includes all necessary demolition work, structural, architectural, HVAC, and electrical work and all other services required to complete the work. Also included is the demolition and legal off-site disposal of the existing copper sulfate and soda ash feed systems and appurtenances in the Chemical Building and removal of 150 cubic feet of soda ash in Storage Silo No. 7 including legal off-site disposal.
