Are you weighing if Epson Printers are the right choice for your company? Our overview of the product can help you be informed and make the best choice!
The Epson AM C series printers have been quite a hit among our architects, engineers and construction clients here in
Kentucky. We wanted to give an overview of the printer on our blog so you can read more about each model if you
would like to! One thing to note about inkjet – the quality is not as vibrant as toner. But, with that being said, you can
still get great business-quality printing output from the Epsons. We have customers who print proposals, everyday office
printing, excel charts, etc. using the Epson printers and they are happy with the quality. However, we do not
recommend it for marketing departments, or any workspace that you need to color match or run a RIP software like
Fiery or Onyx. For these spaces, we encourage you to consider a laser machine like our Xerox AltaLink line of printers.
But, if you want a low-cost of operation, fast printer that JUST WORKS – this is the printer for you! The Epson AM C4000
prints 40 pages per minute, the C5000 prints 50 pages per minute, and the C6000 prints 60 pages per minute. It is a
multi-function printer that copies, scans and prints. When our service team installs the Epson, we can set up scan to
email, scan to network or sync with your active directory. While scanning you can have it remove blank sheets, shadows
or hole punches. There is also an optional OCR add-on for scanning documents. The ADF (automatic document feeder)
used for scanning and copying holds 150 sheets.
The total paper capacity on the machine is 2,150 sheets, and you can add an optional high-capacity tray that fits on the
side of the printer to add 3,000 additional sheets of paper – making the total capacity 5,150 sheets of paper.
One key thing to note is this printer has a very small footprint – It is 21.9” wide x 24.4” deep x 47.8” tall. The dimensions
do not change if you want to add an internal finisher – which allows you to staple documents up to 50 sheets at a time and offset stacks your sets.
The internal finisher holds up to 500 sheets – need more output capacity upgrade to the external finisher which can hold 4,000 sheets!
The inks – are affordable! And they are pigmented – which means they dry fast and are smear resistant.
All of this is supported by the Lynn Imaging service team. The service team will install and train you on the new copiers.
