Monica King, Marketing and In-House Designer for Lynn Imaging / Monster Color has been named to the Leadership Lexington Class of 2017-2018. In July, Monica was also elected as President of the Lexington Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, AAF Lex.
Leadership Lexington is a leadership development program sponsored by Commerce Lexington and directed toward individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities. The program gives participants the opportunity to better understand our city and to prepare for the challenges it faces by meeting with and learning from today’s leaders. Leadership Lexington is an educational opportunity that broadens perspectives and allows participants to gain an increased understanding of community dynamics and public issues. The makeup of each year’s class is intended to reflect the ethnic and cultural diversity of our city. Monica and those in her class of Leadership will broaden their perspectives and understanding of Lexington, meet local and state leaders, develop and expand their network, visit local sites and facilities, gain exposure to current issues and developments and build friendships and working relationships with class members.
AAF Lex is the “Unifying Voice for Advertising”. It protects and promotes the well-being of advertising in the Lexington area. This grassroots network of advertisers, agencies, media companies, local advertising clubs, and college chapters offer programs to promote education, fellowship, and public service for all those in industries that contribute to advertising. Monica and the AAF Lex board are striving to engage the local creative community to continue to make Lexington a unique and compelling city.
